VetAlert™ RNA Internal Control System

Description

The VetAlert™ RNA Internal Control System (RNA IC System) is intended to be used with real-time RT-PCR assays. The system includes the VetAlert™ Internal Control Primer Probe Mix (IC PP Mix) and the VetAlert™ RNA Internal Control (IC). The IC can be used in two ways: 1) During the sample extraction process (see Option A) or 2) During the real-time RT-PCR amplification process by adding it directly to the mastermix (see Option B). The IC aids in the determination of real-time RT-PCR inhibition in a sample, which can lead to false negative results. The IC can also be used to validate the success of the extraction step when added during the sample extraction process.
